From YouTuber Small Town Monsters: In this latest episode of Strange Places, Aleks Petakov travels to the remote Bluff Creek area in Northern California. Famous for where the term "Bigfoot" originated, as well as the infamous Patterson-Gimlin Film from 1967, the Bluff Creek area is also home to an abandoned highway known as the G-O Road, which was intended to link this remote place to the coast of California. The project faced stiff resistance from environmental groups and local Native American tribes, who would have their sacred land impacted by the road. The project was abandoned and all but six of the original 55 planned miles were paved, leaving a remote wilderness between each end of the road. Aleks explores the entirety of the G-O Road, as well as the many Bigfoot related incidents that have taken place on the lost highway itself.
