This is the edit of our 4 day backpacking on the Lost Coast Trail which is located on the longest stretch of undeveloped coastline in California. We hiked southbound from Mattole Beach to Black Sands Beach in Shelter Cover, a distance of approximately 25 miles. This was a bucket list hike and exceeded all of our expectations. We were fortunate with perfect weather each day and saw very few people during our hike. We hiked mid-week in September 2024.
